NON-MEDICAL CARE FOR SENIORS AND DISABLED PERSONS.
Let me first begin by saying thank you for considering Oxford HomeCare
for your non-medical needs. Our staff is committed to meeting and
hopefully exceeding your expectations. This page is designed only
to give you an introduction to who we are. For further information
about us, please contact us at the above telephone number. We will be
happy to answer any questions you may have.
HomeCare provides professional personal care and companionship services
allowing our clients to safely remain in their own homes, living
community or medical facility. Clinical research has revealed that
people stay healthier and recover more quickly from illness or surgery
in the comfort of their own home. However, today's busy lifestyles can
deprive family and friends of the time and energy required to keep a
loved one safely at home. Fortunately, we provide the necessary help to
meet all of the daily needs of the home-bound individual. Our caring, experienced
PCA's provide up to 24 hour care in the comfort of
your own home, at affordable rates starting as little as
$6.50 per hour.
Care Attendant's (PCA's)
At Oxford HomeCare, we know that it isn't easy to make the
decision to invite a PCA into your home to provide care.
That's why our personalized service system is the best in
and designed to maximize your peace of
mind. Many of our PCA's have worked in this industry for years. At
Oxford HomeCare, character counts in our PCA's.
Why choose the services of Oxford
The answer is simple... unlike many home health care agencies in this
industry, Oxford HomeCare determined long ago that the highest quality
care is provided when an agency specializes in one specific level of
home care services.
by specializing entirely in the Private Duty level of services, Oxford
HomeCare is able to devote all of our resources (such as recruiting,
screening and training of staff) toward the retention of home care's
most reliable, knowledgeable and experienced PCA's.
a result, Oxford HomeCare's clients do not just receive care from the
standard PCA's, who have general or limited knowledge of
different services in the home health care field. Rather, our clients
personalized services from a select group of PCA's, who have experience
in the specific levels of Private Duty Care that
our clients require.
In addition, the
background screening system we use is the best in the business. We
recruit experienced PCA's who are seasoned in attending to the
needs of our clients. We will only refer a PCA to you who has the
necessary experience to fulfill your individual needs. Most important,
most of our PCA's provide references to us from sources we can
trust (other homecare agencies, hospitals, nursing facilities,
churches, hospices, assisted living communities etc.). We also
emphasize the intangible traits of the PCA (such as a caring
personality) which will mean so much in your day to day experience in
working with them.
You Are In Charge –
We're On “Your” Schedule
You are in charge of everything. "Oxford
HomeCare" will not dictate to you what your schedule is to be (i.e.
what time to get up, when to bathe, meal schedules etc.). It is our job
to adjust to your schedule and to see to it that you remain comfortable
in your own home.
Upon the initial phone
call we begin by making an appointment at the potential client's home.
The client's health and ADLs ( activities of daily living) are
determined through discussions with you and any involved family
members; when necessary we consult with the physician(s) of the client,
hospitals, or nursing home staff. Next, we develop an individualized
program to help manage
your daily needs. The plan is reviewed with legal guardians or other
responsible family members and service agreements are signed for
immediate or future service. We will then match a PCA to a client based
on skills needed for care, personality and availability. PCA's are
oriented to the client with detailed explanations of special needs and
After the PCA has
been placed in your home, we continue our unique system of personalized
services through telephone check-in and home visits. Also, we are
available to our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When it comes
to our clients or clients family we never close.
