_ Announcements from the Pastor:
One of our goals is to develop a ministry of lay shepherds for outreach and congregational care. To do that I am starting a training program on how to counsel people who are going through a crisis; death, loss of job, divorce, etc. There are hurting people all around us. Crisis is part of each and every person’s life. God has called us to minister to one another. Christ has commanded us to "love one another even as I have loved you" John 13:34. This 13 week "Crisis Care" training will teach you how to do just that. You will be grounded in counseling basics. Then, you’ll have an opportunity to apply what you have learned by going through various case studies. We can make a difference and help those who are in pain and those who are hurting! This "Crisis Care" training will require attendance for 13 Wednesday nights beginning 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 1998.
_ Beginning January 4th, 1998, A VIDEO ENACTMENT OF THE BOOK OF MATTHEW, will be presented each Sunday night in the month.
