This Is What Democracy Looks Like: A Documentary Film

The Freedom Hills Greens will hold a screening of the film This Is What Democracy Looks Like on November 27th at 6:30 pm at the Lafayette County Public Library (104 Bramlett Blvd, Oxford MS). The film documents the so-called Battle in Seattle, three days of struggle against corporate power and state oppression that took place in November 1999.  The film was produced by the Independent Media Center and Big Noise Films .

There will be discussion after the screening.



Greens participate in Lafayette / Oxford / University Living Wage Campaign

The Freedom Hills Green Party is currently working with other local groups, including the UM Black Student Union, Second Baptist Church, and St. John's Catholic Church, to mobilize citizens to demand a living wage for North Mississippi workers.  For more information on the Living Wage Campaign, contact Billy Stevens or Susan Glisson .
