ELI has been continuously certified as a workplace drug testing laboratory by the Department of Health and Human Services since 1989 (see Federal Register for monthly verification of certification status).

ELI currently has available EMIT ETS and Hitachi 717 immunoassay systems for initial screening, GC/MS instruments for confirmation, and other state of the art lab equipment for drug testing purposes.

In keeping with the DHHS and College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements, security of the lab is controlled by keypads, locked exterior doors, and codes issued only to authorized personnel. The laboratory is equipped with a sophisticated security system which is activated at all times the lab is unoccupied.

No telephonic discussions will be held regarding DHHS specimens, and discussions concerning any aspect of commercial client services will be held with an authorized agent only. Complete records on all transactions are kept and can be provided to authorized requestors.
