Analytical standards and internal standards play an important role in providing accurate test results. One of the major items developed at ELI is the manufacture of the acid metabolite of THC which has been made available for the past 10 years. Internal standards used for GC/MS analysis in the full-scan mode were first prepared at ELI. These include the fluorinated derivatives of several drugs of abuse for which ELI is still a sole source. Other internal standards were prepared at the request of members of the drug-testing community which are made available to laboratories both in bulk (mg to g quantities) and in solutions. While bulk orders of any of the standards and internal standards require a DEA Form 222, the following is a list of standard and internal standard solutions prepared at 100 µg/mL in MeOH which are DEA-exempt preparations and for which no DEA order forms are needed.
