the Water Valley Casey Jones Railroad Museum on Saturday night, December 1. The event was in honor of the five charter members who are still active: Martha Edwards, Luella Fair, Dot Trusty, Teresia Edgar, and Dale Tyler.

Two outdoor trees were lighted in honor of the local Lions Club for the work they have done in preserving the depot. Lighting the tree was Dennis McMinn, president of the Water Valley Casey Jones Railroad Museum Board of Directors.

Julia Thompson, president of the Garden Club, and Jessie Gurner, Garden Club member, spoke briefly. Water Valley Mayor Larry Hart offered a prayer.

Inside the museum, festive Christmas decorations followed the theme of a turn-of-the-century Christmas, including a tree adorned with hand-made decorations. A refreshment table was provided with a lavish selection of Christmas cookies and candy. Members of the Water Valley Ambassadors were special guests.
