Among the hobo musicians who played for Kid’s Day Saturday at the Water Valley Casey Jones Museum were (from left) Lady Son-shine, Fran the Hobo Minstrel, and Lady Nightingale. Area youngsters and the young at heart were able to play hobo golf, listen to hobo musicians, and even get dubbed with a hobo name. The Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley helped with the events which were part of the Fourth Annual Hobo Gathering.
Mary Moore, owner of Rasputan’s Sandwich Shop, was dubbed “Hobo Burger Queen of Water Valley” during Kids’ Day Saturday at the Water Valley Casey Jones Railroad Museum. Performing the official hobo ritual were Queen Halftrack, current National Hobo Queen, and Hobo Spike, National Hobo King from 2003-2004.

The Baloney Kid, Frog, and Queen Halftrack visited Water Valley Elementary School and entertained the children with songs and stories.
Mama Jo LeCount, Hobo Queen from 2003-2004, provided information about the hobos during Kids’ Day Saturday at the Water Valley Casey Jones Railroad Museum.
