Q. Who do I contact for activation problems or
questions?
A. Please call PNG's Customer Service, which is
available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, by calling
1-800-860-9495, option 4.
Q. What are the PNG billing options?
A. PNG is a direct-billed service, which means
customers will receive a separate statement each month for
their service. You can either pay your bill by check or by
AutoPay (billed to your credit card).
Q. What are the billing increments?
A. The length of your calls are measured (and billed)
in 6 second increments. The minimum length of each call is
30 seconds.
Q. Does PNG offer calling cards?
A. Yes. The Travel Card rate is currently 9.9¢
per minute. All calling card calls will be included in your
monthly bill. Stand-Alone Travel Card customers will receive
a separate bill.
Q. Does PNG credit switching fees?
A. Yes! Just write your PNG account number on your
Local Phone Bill (with the switch fee) and fax it to the PNG
Customer Service Department at 1 (513) 942-5579. You may
also mail it to PNG via US Mail (their address will appear
on your invoice).
Q. How long should it take for service to be
activated?
A. Please allow 5 to 7 days for the switch-over to
take effect pending credit approval.
Q. Who is Power Net Global (PNG)?
A. PNG was founded in 1992 and help pioneer simple,
flat rate, long distance services combined with excellent
customer service. PNG rates are the same 24 hours a day.
Because of PNGís competitive long distance rates and
excellent service PNG has grown to be a well recognized,
national telecommunication service provider to both the
residential and commercial markets.
Q. Are there any monthly fees, contracts, minimum charges
or hidden fees?
A. PNG offers a simple, easy to understand program
that does not require a contract and has no hidden charges,
no charges for minimum uses, and no monthly carrier fees.
The only additional charges are for local, state, and
federal taxes and regulatory fees.
Q. What does PNG's charge for the PICC and USF Regulatory
Fees?
A. The PICC fee is only charged on commercial
(business) accounts. The monthly fee is $4.31 per business
phone line per month except the first business line is not
charged this fee. The PICC fee is not charged to residential
accounts. The USF fee is 10.9% of all long distance usage
plus the PICC fee for commercial accounts.
Q. Does PNG offer toll free service?
A. Yes, PNG can provide both residential and
commercial accounts toll free numbers. For residential
accounts toll frees are a convenient way to give friends,
family, college students, and others the ability to call you
at no charge to them. You are charged the same rates for
calls to your toll free as outbound calls. If a call is made
from a payphone to your toll free you are charged an extra
35 cents for this call.
Q. I already have a toll free number with my current
carrier, can I have it transferred to PNG?
A. Yes, you can have your current toll free number
(s) transferred from your current carrier to PNG. A Letter
of Authorization will need to be completed and signed
authorizing the transfer of your toll free number (s) to
PNG. To receive a copy of the form call PNGís
Customer Service line at 1-800-860-9495, option 4. To
expedite the process, please include a copy of your bill
from your current carrier when sending back in the signed
Letter of Authorization.
Q. How will I know if my long distance service has been
switched to PNG?
A. PNG will mail you a welcome letter stating your
product and services. After receiving the welcome letter you
can then verify your long distance service with PNG has been
activated by calling 1-700-555-4141toll free. Listen for a
recorded message stating that your carrier is either "Qwest"
or "Global Crossing". Once your hear either of these this
signifies that your long distance is activated with PNG. If
the recorded message does not give you either "Qwest" or
"Global Crossing" you can contact PNG's customer service at
1-800-860-9495, option 4.
Q. Does PNG cancel my service with my old long distance
provider?
A. No, PNG does not cancel your long distance service
with your prior long distance carrier. Once your have
received your welcome letter from PNG and dialed the
1-700-555-4141 number to verify that your service has been
changed to Qwest or Global Crossing, please contact your old
carrier to cancel your account with them. If you do not call
and cancel your account with your prior carrier, they may
continue you to send you invoices.

accounts?
A. Yes, PNG offers at no charge Account codes.
